Saving the best for last!
I'm sure you hipsters love Aztec! So here you have it, my last look with Sammy Icon's Chamanes socks. I decided to go for a more casual look with a muscle tank and a pair of denim shorts and kicking them off with a pair of sport shoes. With my outfit, the socks were easily spot on! To conclude, I really love all the socks that I had chosen as they were really comfortable. I mean what do you look for in a pair of socks? Of cos comfort, if not why would you wear them over your feet, right? Other than to defend yourself from all those merciless blisters, it's also blissful that every pair of socks are decorated with different awesome patterns and prints to suit your personality and mood of the day. Same goes for me! Somedays, I just love them to be loud while other days I would like them to be subtle. Do not forget to check out their socks if you haven't!

Anyway, good news to all, especially myself, after months of struggle and due to my overdose of perfectionism, I had finally set my portfolio out free to be seen! My portfolio is linked to my blog and it will be on the tabs above. Do check it out and if you are interested with my works, you can contact me for freelance opportunities!

So recently, my boyfriend is in love with Interpol, a band from the late 90s and little did I know that I was in love with their new songs and was listening to them for quite some time in Spotify without realising that it's them. Yeah funny. Here's one of my favourite, titled Anywhere.

Our Love

Pink Unicorn Crop Top ∆ H&M
Blazer ∆ Bershka (Find Similar Here)
Shoes ∆ Jeffrey Campbell (Find More)
Maxi Velvet Skirt ∆ Vintage (Find Similar Here)

This outfit was taken a few weeks ago. I started experimenting with flash photography that I normally hate most as it tends to project the worst of me like my skin, scars and etc. I mean, I'm not perfect so does everyone, but just that in photos I hope I look good without the need to Photoshop except the tones and moods that I want to express. I was feeling mellow that day (as well as today) so I wore all things black; black blazer on with my black maxi skirt and my black boots and beanie, except for my pink unicorn top which was the main focus.

I call this outfit "Our Love" taken from the song title by Sharon Van Etten (do listen to the music attached below when reading). Simple reason is that my love with this great guy had come to an end earlier today. Typically, my blog is not something that I would like to rant about relationships and all, but just this one post that I would like to summarise everything up.

Our journey began one and a half years ago. We started off as colleagues working together in the design industry and we shared similar interests. We became friends soon enough and pretty much hang out, sang and played the same kind of music, went to concerts and spent great times together. Eventually we got together and became lovers. Unknowingly as time goes by, we realised we have different goals in life. All those memories of our good times.. I'm starting to miss them. I really really do. Well my friends felt our love for each other was sweet and perfect but there were many faults in the dark zone that they will never see. Just like my outfit, my top is the main focus that takes all the attention away and not the black blazer nor the skirt. We had so much in common and so many things to share, but just the thought that we could not spend the rest of our lives together, I just feel really upset about it. Maybe the pain now is still fresh and I practically spent my whole day crying since yesterday. I guess eventually time will heal and we'll probably still be friends. Life has to go on and may the sunshines of tomorrow paint a smile on my face and no matter what I have to stay strong!

#SGNIGHTFEST - Singapore Night Festival, Art Appreciation

Sweater with mini Studs ∆ Zara (Find Similar as mine's considered vintage)
Nude Cross Hosiery ∆ Aliexpress
Shoes ∆ Jeffrey Campbell (Find More)
Socks ∆ Topshop (Find More)

Since young, I've always had that tendency to be more avant-garde and literally more creepy in a way. That's not something to be fearful of! I'm just embracing the dark looks. Contrary to belief that it might be related to satanic occult, I'm a total free spirit that simply loves dark fashion. Guess you might be tired of me saying this, but again, since the weather is getting cooler, I'm able to put on my sweater that I had bought four years ago! I'm very proud to say that I'm still able to fit into them and this sweater with mini studs will never go out of trend. Well, how can studs go out of trend? They are the most badass fashion accessories in history that had ever been invented! To match it with my cool sweater, I wore a pantyhose with two big crosses smacked right on the knee and my usual studded boots with a pair of halloween "bloody" socks.

As a graphic designer myself, I have always been into arts other than fashion. To me, fashion, fine arts, design and music come under a big family of ARTS. They serve the same purpose in their own individual ways. It's all about expressing your creativity and emotion that make every art piece unique. I'm glad that Singapore Night Festival is held annually to showcase local and intentional talents in all forms.

Here's the recap of the amazing Night Festival!

It's a festival that is held once a year and I'm glad to be able to explore different museums. Appreciating different kind of arts and witnessing captivating music performances. If you had missed it last week, do head down to the final week of the Festival on 29 and 30 August from 7pm till 2am! I'm sure you will have fun museum-hopping and do not forget to hashtag #madeforsam when instagram-ing your photos to get print outs of your experiences from the museums!

Do check out more of the festival's schedules here, http://www.brasbasahbugis.sg/SNFPortal/.

Apple Pie Bed

Sweater ∆ Vans
Black Joni Jeans ∆ Topshop
Shoes ∆ Sperry
Bag ∆ Lowry's Farm (Other bags that they have)
Fake glasses ∆ Grandchild (A local boutique that I used to work in as a part timer during school days)

Just a quick post today.
This outfit was taken a few weeks ago by my bestie Charm on one of my sloppy days. I looked really bare and pale without makeup like a zombie, aannnnndddd IIIII nneeeeeddd BBBRRAAAIINNNNNS. I was really sleepy, like literally I could just concuss and sleep on the streets.

Anyways I'm currently sorting out all my old design works that I had done during school days and previous jobs. Just feel like taking a break from all my messy files that caused my external hard disk to hang like now, so I decided to make this post. Hopefully I am able to finish all my editing and upload them on an extended portfolio showcase website by next week! Stay tuned!

For a dreamy day, here's a dreamy song to share by Lawrence Arabia, Apple Pie Bed.
Let me know how you feel about my sloppy outfit! I know it's really different from my usual outfits.
