White.co had sent me their whole collection and I seriously couldn't get enough of their awesome apparels! Their tee and sweaters are so comfortable! In this outfit, I decided to go for a more casual dressing with just an oversized tee with a pair of shorts. I enhanced up the look with a pair of quirky platforms sandals, a pair of high socks, beanie, and a bomber jacket. As usual, it's grunge and health goth. Just the right amount of styling for a street goth outfit.

Currently, I'm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; I'm having a stupendous time here. It's just a short getaway of 3 days 2 nights; a last minute unplanned trip. Though it's unplanned, I was able to get a friend from Singapore to join me at the later part of my first day. As I was alone for the whole of my first day, I got to meet new friends at my apartment, by the pool; we conversed for hours and I left with a new acquaintance.
In addition, my very hospitable Airbnb host from Regalia Hotel Residence brought me around the neighbourhood and gave me a lunch treat!

Honestly, I am super lucky that my friends from KL are able to meet up even though I was being super last minute. They made time for me and drove me around the city and have been making my short stay here enjoyable!

It's a new year and I am glad that society is gradually leaning to the acceptance of the LGBT community! It's reassuring to know that some countries and cities have legalised same sex marriage. Looking at the LGBT community's journey of the fight for freedom thus far, I am proud of the standing point that the community has reached. Moreover, many artists have used different means of arts to raise the awareness of the LGBT community.

Here's one of my favourite band, Smoke Season, who just dropped their new single, Loose, last month, showing the struggle of being gay. Hope you enjoy the song!

Black Pullover ∆ SECTS Shop, by NCE (Not Cool Enough)
Acid washed shirt ∆ Vintage
Peace pantyhose ∆ Topshop (Shop others)
Shoes ∆ Jeffrey Campbell

Due to the monsoon season, cold air is making it's way to Singapore. Finally, it's the time of the year for some additional layerings!

With my usual 90s grunge look, black is a never say no colour palette in my outfit. I wore a black skull prints pullover that I had gotten from a local fashion design store, SECTS Shop, by NCE (Not Cool Enough) at a ripped off price of only SGD$10. In fact, it was actually a rejected apparel due to factory defects. Lucky me, I was able to pick out a decent one from all the rejected pile! Playing with layers, I tied an acid washed oversized shirt around my waist; tucked behind the pullover to make it look like a skirt. An excuse to keep my legs warm, I wore a pair of peace sign pantyhose together with my studded chunky boots.

I know my pace has slowed down in my blog updates recently, but that does not mean that I have lost interest here! Honestly, if I have the time, I would love to update more of my outfits and styling. It's just that recently I have been busy with many things! More like countless of things to the extent that I feel that I'm just floating around with things (how I wish to be floating around with nothing on my mind). Work alone takes up more than half of my day. Adding to the pressure, I had some personal freelance projects here and there in assisting my friend. With the upcoming festive periods, gifts shopping is enough to kill me not even mentioning on gatherings (even though I really look forward to meet all my other busy friends!). Oh! And not forgetting to mention that I have some collaborations going on and as well as photoshoots. Well, that pretty much sums up my December life. It's always a love hate relationship with December.

Since I'm floating, here's a song by Pacific Air, Floating.

Reflections

Knit Sweater ∆ Grandchild

Dress ∆ Topshop
Harness ∆ SIX accessories
Shoes ∆ Jeffrey Campbell (Find more here)

It's been a while since I last wore this sweater over a dress or shirt. As soon as the weather allows me to, I would not hesitate to grab my chance and get cozy in it. My favourite part of the year is when the weather gets cooler because thats when all these fast fashion stores will release their new fall/winter collections! I'm just so attracted to all these thick sweaters and jackets, and honestly, by layering a sweater or jacket over, it will instantly make any simple outfit cooler!

Later that evening, Maria Sharapova was in Singapore at Robinsons Hereen to release her collection of candy, SUGARPOVA. If you have a sweet tooth, I'm sure you will love the SUGARPOVA candy by Maria Sharapova herself. They are categorised into fun and quirky types and shapes with playful names to go along with! Sugarpova is available at Robinsons, Singapore, as well as internationally on SUGARPOVA online store

Here's a recap of the event!

Are you what you want to be?

Blouse ∆ Zara (Find More Here)
Skirt ∆ Vintage
Blazer ∆ Bershka (Find Similar Here)
Shoes ∆ Jeffrey Campbell (Find More Here)

When the rest of the world is getting cooler as the season changes, it is still hot as hell here. The sun is always glaring mercilessly, so my day out can never be shades-less. To stir things up a little and not giving in myself to the boring tee and shorts look, I wore this badass tattooed babe skirt that I had gotten a few years ago at a street market in Bangkok and matched it with a sheer blouse. Since it's hot out there, why not put on a short bandaged skirt to beat the heat?

I know Foster The People had dropped this album for quite some time and I'm still in love with their muse. "Are You What You Want To Be?" is my favourite. It's like a question to ask yourself. Are your satisfied with your whatever that you are pursuing? Or if you had accomplished, are you satisfied, is it the right path that makes you feel alive? I'm still working on it, but I believe I will get there soon one day. So how about you? Share them with me by leaving your comments below. I would love to read them!

Affection of STYLE RAIDERS and SAMMY ICON

Skirt ∆ STYLE RAIDERS
Bralette ∆ The Editor's Market (Find Similar Here)
Kimono ∆ H&M
Boots ∆ Jeffrey Campbell
Socks ∆ SAMMY ICON
Photos by Amirul

Last Saturday morning, I woke up to receive two parcels from Style Raiders (Singapore) and Sammy Icon (Ukraine)! I couldn't be more excited to partner up with them! Upon looking at the socks received from Sammy Icon, I immediately knew that I could match the black anchor Versoix Violet Socks with that Badass Style Raiders' Restrained Cult Skirt that come with garters! They looked DOPE together right?

This look is all about the affection of the dark side and alluring beauty. I matched the Restrained Cult Skirt with a bralette and a long black sheer kimono to create that mysterious haunting ambience. To be honest, I'm really lucky that my friend, Amirul, who's a talented photographer, found this old rooftop carpark and brought my ideas to life! Well since the place was kind of rundown with lots of "junks" as props to go along with my outfit and incorporated them into my photos.

Good News to all my readers and followers! You will be entitled to $2 off total bill (no minimum purchases) when you shop in Style Raiders with the promo code, "jessxsr"! Happy Shopping!

Talking about this dark alluring beauty, I just can't help but relate that to Alice from Crystal Castles! Here's a song titled 'Affection' by them!

P.S. I will be posting more socks from Sammy Icon from my upcoming post! Stay Excited!
