Ripped, torn baggie jeans, crazy hair colours, duo knot buns, tattoo choker, baggie tee and (if the weather is cool enough) pastel fur coat. This is definitely what you will see in the 90s. As a 90s kid, I'm definitely embracing every bit of this look. It's a mixture of street, hip hop and grunge.

It was a fun collaboration shoot with Izwan from the owner of Alt-F4 store. We explored a few places around the street of my old art campus and derived with all these awesome images.

I know that many of you have given me great responses from Instagram- that you love the Pink Fur Coat from Shein. Literally, nothing beats a sweater weather for me even under a 30º hot sunny city in Singapore. Well, my friends and colleagues were all cringing just by looking at me and telling me how they would sweat like a dog in it. Well, I'm lucky that I do not sweat that easily!

I love this sweater as they are really comfortable and who doesn't like hoodies?
Keeping things casual, I wore my sweater with a pair of white short culottes and match them with high socks and my favourite pair of creepers. Yes to creepers as I will never outgrow my 90s era! Oh! And I wore this dope shades as the sun was just too bright for my eyes to handle.

As you guys may have known, there were quite a few tragic scenarios occurring in different part of the world during Friday, the 13th, especially the Paris bombing incident that even Facebook is stepping up to create an awareness. Well, I know it's been a few weeks ago but it hits me in a way on how the society in different parts of the world perceive the idea of happiness, peace, justice, righteous and etc. I believed that it all started out with good intentions, then somehow when their goals are not attained, things starts to get twisted. I got to say that I am lucky to be born in Singapore, a country with high security. Still, it's tragic to see other innocent people from other parts of the world are suffering from civil wars, terrorists and etc, which can happen on a daily basis. It's really traumatising to be living in such condition. Honestly, I wish such wars will cease and allow these innocents victims to live a proper life.

Here's one of my favourite song by Van She, Idea of Happiness. Enjoy!

White has been a colour that I've had taken interest in since the start of this year. So, here you have me looking angelic, but yet grungy. It's a simple combination of a white jacket, over with an oversized men's tee, coupled with my white platform sneakers, and a pair of socks as usual. With the intention of fanciness in mind, I've added some stickers from Daiso onto my platforms, as well as my chubby cheeks, finishing it with a touch of darkness on my lips.
This shoot marks the first collaboration between Jimmy and I, and it is such an honour to be working with such an experienced photographer, who has been in the industry for a whopping seven years! I will defiantly be looking forward to our next collaboration in the near future.
Grimes has been my greatest inspiration of in terms of style and music. Here's another favourite song of mine, Genesis by Grimes. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Today I decided to be a hardworking grunge girl. Stripped away from my usual long tees look, I wore a dress with fringes spread out at the ends, layered it with a denim shirt and top it off with a hat. Being hardworking, that means I can't go without heels right? Heels to me is not your usual stilettos, it's monster chunky platforms! Since my dress is long, it looked great with my platform heels.

This guy below is my bestie of bloody six years. If you follow my Snapchat at Jessthegrrl, you will notice that we hangout almost every week. Homies, bromance or whatever, he's a talented photographer and a nonsensical chap.  Do check out his instagram here.

Btw it's National Day today! Celebrating Singapore's independence for 50 years! I shall fly a giant squid kite later. See more on my snapchat!

Let's backtrack the music a little and go back to the 2010. Sounding like The Foals, in a more electric indie form, we have I Heart Sharks. Wolves is one of my favourite songs. Hope you like it too!
