Wounds

Sometimes, I just want to keep things real casual. I know I have been real fancy in dressing up myself but that does not mean I do not have lazy days.

Sweatshirt is always the best laziest outfit ever. But Hey! They do makes everything looks cool and it goes with almost anything. In this outfit, I matched my sweatshirt with a draped skirt and a pair of furry sandals. I gave myself a top knot to spice up my look up a little.

Here's another song of the day, Wounds by Ulysse. I love the sick beats during the chorus. Hope you love it too!

Wolves

Dress ∆ Princessa

Today I decided to be a hardworking grunge girl. Stripped away from my usual long tees look, I wore a dress with fringes spread out at the ends, layered it with a denim shirt and top it off with a hat. Being hardworking, that means I can't go without heels right? Heels to me is not your usual stilettos, it's monster chunky platforms! Since my dress is long, it looked great with my platform heels.

This guy below is my bestie of bloody six years. If you follow my Snapchat at Jessthegrrl, you will notice that we hangout almost every week. Homies, bromance or whatever, he's a talented photographer and a nonsensical chap.  Do check out his instagram here.

Btw it's National Day today! Celebrating Singapore's independence for 50 years! I shall fly a giant squid kite later. See more on my snapchat!

Let's backtrack the music a little and go back to the 2010. Sounding like The Foals, in a more electric indie form, we have I Heart Sharks. Wolves is one of my favourite songs. Hope you like it too!

Back of the car

With my current lilac hair, monotone clothing seems to give off a classic touch of minimalist look. With a cropped top and a maxi skirt from Princessa, I enhanced the apparel with a bomber jacket, boots and beanie to spice up the look for a casual brunch on Sunday.

...

Last week was a hectic week and I did not get to post anything up on my blog. I feel bad about it but I just could not find the time to do it with so many shoots coming along and more workload that I have at work. I even strained my ligament around my ankle with the accumulation of minor sprains for the past few weeks. Well good thing is I got to rest for a bit today. So, hello to Monday Blues!

Not sure if you guys heard of RAC (Remixed Artist Collective - an indie electronic project by André Allen Anjos) before, but it is my current favourite muse. The tone of the songs are pretty light and cheerful, making me feel refreshed when listening to them. Here's one of his latest song featuring Nate Henricks, Back of the Car. Hope you like it!

Retreat and repose for a tranquil Sunday, I headed off to the beach with my bestie and did a shoot for a campaign with Luxola.com featuring Laneige Travel Kit while swaying along to the gentle sea breeze. Since it's the beach, I decided to dress a little boho of a white dress by Princessa and a motif vest that I had bought in a vintage store in Chatuchak, Bangkok. To steer my outfit a little back to the 90s, I added on my favourable necklace and chokers.

Honestly, I had never really rely on any skincare products in my entire life. Foremost reason being that I was young and broke. Secondly, I do not have the discipline to stick to a routine with skincare products even when my mum had bought me a set. Well, that was back then and maybe those products were not good enough. As age is catching up, I thought it will be wise for me to get a rad set of essential skincare products; a range that can be my soulmate. Laneige's skincare products is one of the brands that I had shortlisted and I was lucky enough to get to work with Luxola.com to do a review on Laneige Travel Kit, Perfect Renew Early Anti-aging Trial Pouch set. The travel kit is also just in time to prep myself for my next vacation.

According to my friends as well as other bloggers, Laneige's cosmetic and skincare products have always gotten great ratings and reviews, intriguing my interest to try them out.
Just a quick run through of all the products,
• Multi Cleanser - Papain enzymes-based multi cleanser with 4 functions of removing makeup + removing sunscreen + exfoliating + cleansing
• Perfect Renew Skin Refiner_EX - Gel type skin refiner that makes skin texture smooth with boosting effect.
• Perfect Renew Emulsion_EX - Emulsion that delivers moisture balance with soothing effect
• Perfect Renew Essence_EX - Essence that prevents premature aging with helping face contour framing effect.
• Perfect Renew Cream_EX - Cream that enhances elasticity and moisture barrier with repairing effect.

After the third day of my usage, I could feel that my skin is smoother than before. Visible differences can be noticed since I have not been using any skincare products previously. My skin have become smoother, refreshed, hydrated, moisturised, radiant and firmer; giving a natural glow on my naked face. After trying the kit out, I will definitely continue to use Laneige's Perfect Renew skincare products as my lifelong face therapy. Well even my mom is smitten to the products and bugged me to share it with her.

Good new to all my readers, do checkout at Luxola.com with my promo code, BLX-JESSTHEGIRL and enjoy 15% off on your first order!

Spending my Sunday along the beach, it reminds me of my Bali trip (read more here). Bali is definitely a sentimental travelling destination. It allows me to slow down my pace and recover myself from the hectic schedules that I have in Singapore. Every evening, I luxuriate myself along the beach. Bathing myself with warm colours of the sunset while getting hit by the gentle sea breeze.

I guess it's about time for me to revisit Bali again and this time, I would like to stay in a villa from The Luxe Nomad. They have carefully selected some of the best designed luxury villas in Bali as well as around the Asia Pacific region. Good thing about booking with The Luxe Nomad is that they have weekly exclusive flash sales rates of up to 70% off. Isn't it great to be able to save up yet pampering yourself with luxurious comfort with breathtaking scenery from the villas?

Here's a remedy by 311, Tranquility to get yourself inspired for a holiday retreat!
