Hey guys, I know it's been about 3 months since I last blogged. I know I've said it time and time again so let me just say for the final time that I've been really busy. I've been swamped with being the full time brand manager for the brand Tocco Tenero (which recently had a launch party to celebrate the collaboration between us and TOFU-Oyako, with their characters on our bags), freelancing as a photographer (whenever I'm free), assisting in the styling for a music video by Yakamoto Kotzuga, as well as taking up piano and DJ classes.  Nonetheless, I'm very glad to be able to work with Zaful.com and other brands who are very supportive of my work and I.

It's summer 365 days in Singapore but that does not stop me from dressing up. The temperature recently shot up to a crazy 35 degrees but the heat feels as if it's at 40 degrees. Madness, right? To kind of chill out a little, why not add some hippie vibes onto my outfit with a pair of bell bottom jeans that are thin and comfy; just right for this weather, and an oversized sheer vintage top that I have owned since I was 18. Since the weather is excruciatingly hot and bright, I've got new pink marble shades to protect myself from those piercing UV rays.

Let's enjoy the summer vibes a little while longer (which I'm pretty sick of to be honest) with a cheerful summer beat song, Run by Tourist.

San Diego // Hair by The Comb Hair Salon

Located along a stretch of shophouses at Gemmill Lane , there sits a modern and elegant country-style salon, The Comb Hair Salon. Thanks to Ryan, the hairstylist from The Comb Hair Salon, I had my roots retouched and intensified to magenta from my then-pastel-pink hair. Initially, I wanted to change my hair colour to a green ombre tone. Sadly, they ran out of the hair dye and I have no choice but to go with a violet-red shade. To my surprise, the colour seems to suit me better than I thought!

Since I was on a business trip in Kuala Lumpur, I decided to make use of the hotel bathroom as my backdrop to go with my monochrome health goth styling. It was a fun yet creative shoot with my colleague as we experimented with flash photography; trying to bring out the 80s/90s ambience

Here's another song of the post, San Diego by Hinds. It's currently my replay list in Spotify! Enjoy!

Topshop X Adidas Originals: Welcome to Love

Oversized Sweatshirt ∆ Topshop x Adidas Originals
White Culottes ∆ Rockstar Singapore
Platform Shoes ∆ YRU
Bucket Hat ∆ Modparade
Photos by Amirul

As mentioned before on my previous post, I'm a Topshop lover! Therefore, how can I miss the collaborative collection of Topshop and Adidas?1 The collaboration is a mashed-up of 80s hip-hop and slick sportswear look. And yes, expect bold colour scheme inspired from the 80s!

I love to style my outfit differently from the norms by giving it a fresh touch. Hence, I wore the sweatshirt with a pair of white culottes, bucket hat, high socks and a pair of platform sneakers. At the end of the day, street look is all about defining who you are. So, simply make an outfit consisting of different eras and create your own identity.

When shooting for this outfit, my photographer and I decided to experiment on doing an outfit video using VIBBIDI app. Do let me know what you think of the collaborative collection and the video!

Here's a dreampop electronic song for your viewing! Welcome to Love by Young Ejecta and I hope you like it!

Today's shoot comes with a theme, Old School, and I get to collaborate with my dear friend Sopida for her project! I was really excited with the theme! The diversity of this theme is huge and I decided to incorporate that pinned-up look (which I messed up lots of times trying to achieve it) from the 50s like Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe and I mixed it up with the late 80s to early 90s rock style with tartans skirt, leather jacket and studs. More of a "Rebel" look, since I'm always into grunge style! And of cos, paired my outfits with a platform creeper!

I love being a feminist with strong girl power and have everything going my way (well of cos in a good way)! So I incorporated that style into my photos. I'm happy that I achieve the look of a valley girl that you will never wanna mess with.

Having everything going my way, I have a song from Metronomy, Everything Goes My Way. And I swear the melody of the song fits perfectly with my outfit!
