Final Song

I just had the time of my life at Goodvibes Music Festival in Genting Malaysia over the last few weekend. My festive fever is still on! Honestly, it's really an awesome getaway for me due to some personal issues that I have been facing for the past few months and still living in it. (Hopefully, I will share my first personal post on my next post. Nothing fashion.)

I'm thrilled upon receiving this boho dress from StyleWe designed by Aporia. AS. Well, it would be great to wear it during the festival, nonetheless, even if the festival is over, I'm stoked to wear this dress to reminisce the festive feels. Boho dress, belt choker, Dr Martens boots and a hat, a complete festive style!

Just a quick introduction of StyleWe, it is an online fashion shopping platform that showcases independent fashion designers that provides authenticity, variety and quality fashion apparels. I have gotten my dress from Aporia. AS that provides casual, sweet and sexy Boho style. As a festive goer and a hippie myself, I dig a lot into boho style. Well just that I will definitely mix anything with grunge too.

I know that MØ is not one of the act in Goodvibes, but I would still like to share my music of the day with her latest song, Final Song. Recently, I have been really down and unstable, hence this song kind of slightly liven up my mood. Hope you enjoy it!

RUN - [Zaful.com]

Hey guys, I know it's been about 3 months since I last blogged. I know I've said it time and time again so let me just say for the final time that I've been really busy. I've been swamped with being the full time brand manager for the brand Tocco Tenero (which recently had a launch party to celebrate the collaboration between us and TOFU-Oyako, with their characters on our bags), freelancing as a photographer (whenever I'm free), assisting in the styling for a music video by Yakamoto Kotzuga, as well as taking up piano and DJ classes.  Nonetheless, I'm very glad to be able to work with Zaful.com and other brands who are very supportive of my work and I.

It's summer 365 days in Singapore but that does not stop me from dressing up. The temperature recently shot up to a crazy 35 degrees but the heat feels as if it's at 40 degrees. Madness, right? To kind of chill out a little, why not add some hippie vibes onto my outfit with a pair of bell bottom jeans that are thin and comfy; just right for this weather, and an oversized sheer vintage top that I have owned since I was 18. Since the weather is excruciatingly hot and bright, I've got new pink marble shades to protect myself from those piercing UV rays.

Let's enjoy the summer vibes a little while longer (which I'm pretty sick of to be honest) with a cheerful summer beat song, Run by Tourist.

Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon

Rose quartz is the current Spring Summer 2016 colour. I'm definitely thrilled about it and hence chose this pink fur coat from Shein to feature. Other than being a super monochromatic girl, I have a soft spot for pastel tones too! With that in mind, I decided to match my coat with my babygirl tennis outfit. Of cos I will never miss out my comfy pair of sandals to differ myself from the norm.

Anyway, I'm a big fan of the movie Pulp Fiction. Instead of sharing a current indie muse, I decided to share one of my inspirations from the past by Urge Overkill, Girl You'll Be a Woman Soon. This song was actually written by Neil Diamond in 1967 and later made famous by Urge Overkill as one of the theme song in Pulp Fiction. Enjoy!

We just wished

Recently, I have a thing for turtle neck tops and dresses. They're best for the rainy period of the year, which is the coolest Singapore gets with the lack of four seasons. That's definitely my excuse to snuggle in this cosy pullover by Sheinkeeping that usual minimalistic monochromic styling. I matched my top with a pleated tennis skirt (as seen on my previous post), and keep it cool and chill with a pair of sneakers.

Just some updates: I have left my previous job at Rockstar Singapore and I'm currently with Goodvine Pte Ltd as a Brand Manager for Tocco Tenero bags. It's been a month since I started working and I'm still trying my best to cope with the workload. Hopefully I can pull through and all things will go well.

But of course, not everything was going well. Bad luck has hit me really hard. In my previous post, I mentioned that I had lost my laptop. Now I also have a broken tooth, lost my nike cap (shown in this post) and yes my wallet (it's stolen) which means I lost my identity card too. Honestly, I have never lost anything major throughout my life. So it's some weird ass shit that I've kept losing my shit since December 2015. Seriously, for the first few things that I lost, it was kind of funny. But not anymore with my IC went missing! It's like a wake up call that shit's getting real. I hope this will stop. Like PLEASE!

As usual, I love to share intriguing songs that I have discovered. Recently, I found Deja Mae an electric indie artist with her new EP Sloan. My current favourite song is "We just wished"! Do listen to Deja Mae and let me know which is/are your favourite!

I know I was on a hiatus for a month... Plus...
Honestly, I didn't deliberately go on a hiatus. If you're following me on my IG, @jessthegrrl, you would know that my laptop was stolen and I was waiting for the police for a month to get back to me in hopes of good news. Of cos, it was a total disappointment. That person that stole my laptop was so desperate. My laptop was 6 years old and the reselling price is just pathetic.

Anyway, this is not a rant post, it's a post to tell you guys that I'm back with a new laptop and will continue to feed you with my evolving looks. Also, I'm glad to work with Dresslink again. Really appreciate their patience knowing that I will be delaying the blog post.

I always love to work with aspiring and talented fashion photographers for my personal styling shoots. This time, I got to work with Yubin, a fashion photographer, as well as my friend, Marc, to be my partner-in-crime for all the shots. I paired Dresslink's tennis skirt with a sports bra, hoodie jacket, a pair of socks and slip-on sandals; a straight-up typical Health Goth styling that Marc gladly embodied with me. I have longed for a black tennis skirt and I'm glad to be able to get them from Dresslink. As usual, they provide an awesome price range for their products! Since it's a simple black tennis skirt, I'll be sure to wear them again and style it with other outfits and looks.

I'm faced with dilemma when choosing these whole lot of photos. It's a good problem as each photo contains so much feels in them. That's because the weather is windy and my friend is an awesome photographer even with just a default lens of mine canon DSLR.

This was an impromptu styling. Initially, I only have my singlet as a dress. Mich decided to borrow her blazer to me. I swear it goes really well with what I had. Keeping the same 90s street style, I added a pair of banana creepers and babygirl statement bucket hat to give it a twist of quirk.

I'm very thankful to White.co to send me a whole collection of apparels all the way from Taiwan! They are simple yet cool for any occasion! For my upcoming posts, I will be featuring all different apparels from them! Enjoy!

With such a "FEEL" post, here's a "FEELS MUCH" song by St. South, Cadence. Enjoy it!
